Joanne graduated from Lincoln School of Health Sciences with a Diploma of Applied Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1981. This course was updated to a Bachelor of Prosthetics Orthotics and Joanne completed the additional Latrobe University training graduating with a Bachelor of Prosthetics Orthotics in 1999. Joanne also has a Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies completed in 1991.
Joanne’s extensive professional career started at the Royal Children’s Hospital in 1981. Subsequent positions at the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre and the Austin Hospital provide the opportunity for progression to senior clinical positions leading to a return to the Royal Childrens’ Hospital as Manager of the Orthotic Prosthetic Unit in 1993.
Since 2012 Joanne has been employed at OAPL to fulfill her desire to return to clinical practice which is her passion.
